Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Whilst our volunteer editors will do their best to ensure our events listings are as up to date and accurate as possible; with the fast pace of how things are changing, it is inevitable that some will slip through the net. If you are planning on travelling for larger events, we would recommend that you contact the venues directly to avoid disappointment. We are putting in place new measures to give event organisers a friendly reminder to see if they wish to remove cancelled events, so we're sorry if it looks a bit bare in here :(

If you, or any of your party have a new persistant cough, or develop a fever of 38C, we would instead advise you to use the NHS's dedicated website for free, professional advice.

Norwich: Part 1 - The Phenomenon Bruno Groening Film + Information Lecture, 5th July 2026, 9:30 to 12:30 at Norwich Unity Hub, Carrow House, King Street,, King Street, Norwich (13.5 miles)

Part 1
A film offering a story of hope, faith, and personal transformation

In 1949, one name dominated the headlines: Bruno Groening. Newspapers printed special editions. Radio and newsreels covered the phenomenon. Wherever he appeared, thousands gathered in the hope of finding help. At the Traberhof in Rosenheim, up to 30,000 people assembled daily.

Many were not followers, but individuals seeking relief - worn down by the aftermath of war, having received no help elsewhere. They longed to be free from suffering. Bruno Groening offered words of encouragement and spoke of reconnecting to a higher power. He famously said: “God is the greatest physician.”

At the time, numerous individuals described remarkable improvements in their well-being. These reports, widely documented in the media, inspired both hope and controversy.
